Advancement

Scouting provides a series of surmountable learning objectives and steps in overcoming them through advancement. Scouts plan their own advancement and progress at their own pace as they meet each challenge. Scouts are recognized and rewarded for each achievement, which helps them gain self-confidence.

Awards

The BSA Awards program offers Scouts the opportunity to expand their knowledge, skills and self-confidence beyond rank advancement. There are more than 40 awards available across a variety of interest, including aquatics, conservation, STEM and community service.

Merit Badges

You can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers as you earn merit badges. There are more than 135 merit badges, and any Scout  may earn any of these at any time. ​Scouts wishing to achieve the rank of Eagle are required to earn 21 merit badges.

Uniforms

The uniform and insignia gives a Scout visibility and creates a level of identity within both the unit and the community. The uniform is used to promote equality while showing individual achievement. Learn about proper insignia and patch placement to help your Scout look their best. 

ABOUT US

The year 2023 marked 30 years of Scouting for Troop 93. In the fall of 2023 we chartered a Girl's Troop - the first in our area. Approaching a combined 150 years in Scouting, our adult committee is stronger than ever.
 

In 2022, 2033 and 2024 we achieved BSA's highest ranking for excellence in Scouting - the Journey to Excellence Gold Award.
