About Us
The year 2023 marked 30 years of Scouting for Troop 93. In 2022, our first full year of Scouting following COVID, we achieved BSA's highest ranking for excellence in Scouting - the Journey to Excellence Gold Award. Our Troop also captured Honor Troop and 3 Honor Patrol Awards at Yawgoog Summer Camp. In 2023 we repeated as Gold Award winners and again captured Honor Troop and 3 Honor Patrol Awards. Mixing it up in 2024, we accomplished a hat trick in scouting, earning our third Gold Award in a row and we did it again in 2025. Last year an this year we attended camp at June Norcross Webster where our scouts were recognized at the troop, patrol and individual levels.
We are a Scout-led Troop. Scouts plan and lead meetings, trips, activities and events. With the support of the Troop Committee, Scouts raise money to fund their adventures and conduct a variety of community service events. We are family friendly and believe that parent engagement enhances the Scout experience.
Troop 93 Scouts are encouraged to grow academically, athletically, and socially through participation in a variety of music, art, robotics, youth sports and similar type programs. Scouts receive quarterly reviews of their progress to help them track their progress and manage their busy schedules.
